Baked Apples
makes 4 baked apples
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
4 large tart baking apples
1/4 C. brown sugar
1/4 C. chopped almonds or pecans
1 t. cinnamon
1 1/2 T. raisins, chopped figs, prunes, or mincemeat 4 T. butter
Wash and remove core to 1/2” of bottom of apples.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts and fruit. Fill center of apples..
Dot cores with butter..
Place each apple in a Polish Pottery Apple Bakers and bake 30-45 minutes or until tender. Serve hot or cold, with heavy cream or ice cream.
